Go Rock Pooling

The white chalk boulders of Bridlington’s North Beach, Danes Dyke and Flamborough create a rock pooling paradise for all manner of marine creatures and on a low tide a fantastic kelp forest is exposed.

Visit the beautiful beaches

Bridlington has two wonderful beaches, the North beach which stretches from the Harbour up to Danes Dyke and the South Beach which is over a mile of golden sand from the Harbour down to Fraisthorpe Beach.

You can take a thrilling speed boat ride, a leisurely cruise on the Yorkshire Belle or navigate the high seas on a Pirate ship! Departing from Bridlington Harbour all through the season.

Danes Dyke

Danes Dyke was declared a Local Nature Reserve in 2002. This unique sea and cliff environment is protected as a Site of Special Scientific Interest and its seabird colonies mark it as a Special Protection Area.

RSPB Bempton Cliffs & Seabird Centre

RSPB Bempton Cliffs & Seabird Centre is famous for its puffins and gannets in spring and summer. Expect stunning views from the clifftops, and in winter the possibility of seeing short eared owls. The Seabird Centre has a cafe, shop and toilets, and the pathways are all wheelchair accessible.

YWT Spurn is famed as the best mainland destination to watch migration in the UK. Expect bracing walks (the peninsula is 3.5 miles long – be mindful of the tide times), mega wading flocks in winter and all sorts of wildlife turning up in spring and autumn.
